Log in: Usually your cPanel connects to your domain name. If you have a domain name of ‘example.com’, your cPanel log in URL is ‘example.com/cPanel/’. For instance, if your server name is ‘randomABC.webhostingcompany.com’ then you can use ‘randomABC.webhostingcompany.com/cPanel/’ as your log-in URL. It comes up with a log-in page which requires you to insert your username and password.

Access cPanel: After you gain access into the cPanel, you notice that there are two sections. One on the left and the other, on the right. Usually the right section has different tools represented by icons. The left section has a bar that can expand and collapse.

Left section: It has several stats which include the domain name for which your account name is listed under. It also contains the IP address- from where the last log-in happened. It also shows; the bandwidth, disk space, email accounts, sub-domains parked domains, Add-on domains etc.

Sub-domains are a part of your main domain. For instance, when you have a ‘website.com’ and it has a blog section and you want it under a different domain (blog.com), then it becomes a sub-domain. We also have Add-on domains which are added to the main domain but are not tied to them.

Right section: On the right section there are different sections as well. They include: preference, mail section’ files, security and logs. The most used section is the mail section with email accounts which is the most used. Features on the right section are not arranged in specific order thus you can configure them to your preference.
